2025 Fall harvest

After Halloween last year, we tossed our pumpkin into the back yard, and allow the various birds and animals to eat what they wanted. This Spring, a volunteer plant sprouted, and with watering through the summer, produced two small pumpkins. The WTC was tasked with transporting them to the front yard. The load was small enough to fit on a single flat car, and the minion work force rode in the gondola. Here is the work train spotted at the patio team track.

The load was secured with chains and binders for a safe journey up the hill.

This is bridge three, and the grade is a modest 6%.

Crossing the path into west siding.

Climbing the ruling 7% grade along the driveway.

Arriving at north siding, ready for unloading.

The diligent work crew has begun the unchaining process.

All the gear is stowed in lockers on WTC1.

After running WTC1 around the train, the trip home begins.

Passing through the undergrowth east of west siding.
